What Are Traditional Plotters?

Traditional plotters are large-format printers designed primarily for technical drawings, blueprints, maps, and other line-based graphics. They use a pen or a series of pens to draw continuous lines on paper, which makes them ideal for precise vector graphics. Over time, traditional plotters evolved into inkjet and laser large-format printers that print raster images.

What Are HP PageWide XL Printers?

HP PageWide XL printers represent a newer generation of large-format printing technology. Instead of a moving print head, they use a stationary print bar that spans the entire width of the paper. This design allows the printer to print an entire line at once, dramatically increasing print speed. PageWide XL printers combine the precision of inkjet technology with the speed of industrial printing.
